I still watch clips of his goal scoring exploits to this day. Best striker there ever was. His goals per game ratio is right up there and is incomparable to any other English striker over such a long period of time. RIP Jimmy you are an inspiration to so many 🙂

Being a piss head didn't help his cause, a bloody good goalscorer in his day. Chelsea developed him as a player, typical of the club letting him go. See yah

Another footballing legend gone from us. Dear Jimmy Greaves not just the best striker England, Tottenham & Chelsea ever had, but a true gentleman to boot. Not well in his later years though. Most will remember his on-screen partnership with that other footballing great Ian St. John of Liverpool & Scotland as the pundits for World Of Sport on ITV. Their banter was hilarious. If you can 'you tube' the Spitting Image' episode where 'Greavsie' wasn't well and he was was replaced by his Spitting Image double – hilarious. R.I.P. Jimmy, take your place in that celestial team of footballing greats. Condolences to his wife, family & all who knew him.
